Newly Elected Officials

Congratulations to all the individuals who completed the League’s 20th Annual Newly Elected Officials Program this month!

The two-day training, held in early December, assists newly elected officials to be more effective in their new policy-making role.

Attendees of the training learned the basics of municipal government in Arizona, reviewed Arizona government and Constitutional structure, learned about municipal budgeting, discussed ethical and legal issues facing elected officials, and reviewed the public policy process.
