The City of Cottonwood became a Bicycle-Friendly community! The League of American Bicyclists recognized the city in 2012 for fulfilling the steps to become a bronze-level community committed to the alternative mode of transportation. Today, 10 of Arizona’s cities and towns are recognized as Bicycle-friendly communities.

The City of Phoenix presented their first Key to the City to Arizona Diamondbacks Hall of Fame Pitcher Randy Johnson. The five-time Cy Young Winner is the first and only Diamondback elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton presented Johnson with the first key ever to be given from the City of Phoenix.
