League Named “Best Industry Trade & Professional Association” by AZ Capitol Times
The League of Arizona Cities and Towns was named “Best Industry Trade & Professional Association” Tuesday night at The Best of the Capitol 2017 event sponsored by the Arizona Capitol Times. The League was chosen by popular vote of the subscribers to the publication.
“This is outstanding recognition of our elected municipal officials who serve on the League Executive Committee and the outstanding quality and hard work of our professional staff,” said Ken Strobeck, Executive Director. This is the first time in its history that the League has received this award.
Legislative Director Patrice Kraus was also nominated for awards in two other categories: Best Committee Testifier and Best Lobbyist-Female.
“I am proud that the League has been singled out for this award,” said Jay Tibshraeny, League President and Mayor of Chandler. “Cities and towns are the level of government closest to the people and most trusted with taxpayer money. It is important that our state legislators get the full and accurate story of local government, and this award will help elevate our profile with state policy makers.”
