2020 Municipal Clerks Week

May 3 – 9, 2020 is the 51st Annual Professional Municipal Clerks Week.

Started in 1969 by the International Municipal Clerks Association, the week is a time of celebration and reflection on the importance of the municipal clerk’s office.

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan signed a proclamation that officially declared Municipal Clerks Week the first full week in May.

This week will feature a week-long series of activities aimed at increasing the public’s awareness of municipal clerks and the vital services they provide for local government and the community.
