The City of Goodyear was officially proclaimed as the recipient of the Guinness World Record for “Largest Gathering of People Wearing False Moustaches.” The city held the event at the Goodyear Ballpark during their Fourth of July celebration in 2013.

On August 22, 2013, the London-based Guinness World Records proclaimed the numbers official. Goodyear’s event brought 1,957 participants with false facial hair, which broke the previous record. Read More.


40 Years Ago



The Town of Prescott Valley was incorporated! In 1978, more than 1,500 residents were living in the unincorporated area now known as Prescott Valley. On August 22, 1978, the voters of Prescott Valley voted overwhelmingly for incorporation as a town. Read More.
