New League Executive Committee

Members of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns selected new leaders of its governing board at the organization's annual conference last week in Phoenix.

Christian Price, Mayor of Maricopa, was elected President of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns.

Peoria Mayor Cathy Carlat was elected Vice President and Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls was elected Treasurer.

Newly-elected individuals to serve on the League Executive Committee are Anna Tovar, Mayor of Tolleson, and Bullhead City Mayor, Tom Brady.

The following officials were re-elected to the Executive Committee to serve two-year terms:

Doug Von Gausig, Mayor, Clarkdale
Coral Evans, Mayor, Flagstaff
Jenn Daniels, Mayor, Gilbert
Jerry Weiers, Mayor, Glendale
W.J. “Jim” Lane, Mayor, Scottsdale
Daryl Seymore, Mayor, Show Low
Sharon Wolcott, Mayor, Surprise
Mark Mitchell, Mayor, Tempe
Jonathan Rothschild, Mayor, Tucson

The following officials are currently serving terms on the Executive Committee which expire in August 2019:

The League is governed by a 25-member Executive Committee made up of mayors and councilmembers from incorporated cities and towns across the state. Officers and members of the Executive Committee are elected for two-year overlapping terms.
