Congratulations to those who received the 2018 League Service Award at the League Annual Conference in Phoenix! Award recipients were recognized during our Thursday Legislative and Service Award Luncheon at the League Annual Conference.
During the League Annual Conference, new Executive Committee members and new League Executive Committee Officers were elected.
The League recently honored members of the Arizona Legislature for their work during the 2018 legislative session. The legislators were recognized for their commitment to local government decision-making and providing support to cities and towns in their districts and statewide.
Save the date! The League’s 17th Annual Cities and Towns Week will be October 21 – 27, 2018. Arizona Cities and Towns Week is set aside each year to provide citizens with important information about the services and programs provided by their city/town, and to introduce the employees that deliver them.
As the popularity of trail activity increases in Arizona, the potential for user conflict and the impact on the available resources has also increased. A Sharing the Trails Symposium, presented by the Arizona Horse Council, will be held in November in Phoenix.
The U.S. Supreme Court term ended in June, and several decisions were issued that directly affect municipalities.
