Save the date for August 31 – September 3 for AZ League Conference Week! Due to COVID-19, the League is cancelling our 2020 in-person conference, but during that week we will be providing some of our most popular recurring sessions to help our members stay in the loop virtually.
2020 Service Awards will be mailed out to all recipients and each award recipient will be recognized during AZ League Conference Week 2020.
As in-person conferences and trainings were cancelled this summer due to COVID-19, the League and its affiliate groups are hosting a variety of webinars and digital trainings throughout the next few months.
As the COVID-19 pandemic is an active, evolving situation, the League has established a website of relevant information to serve as a clearinghouse of information. The website also includes a database of current face mask requirements.
Recent events have challenged local governments with debates over public health, racial equity and policing raising important issues, including questions about the distribution of power and decision-making responsibility. The National Civic League is looking for volunteers to assist in efforts to review, revise and update the Model City Charter to ensure that the document best reflects the realities facing local governments in the 21st century.
The League has compiled a calendar of upcoming trainings and events that may be of interest over the course of the next few months.
