Preserve America was an initiative that encouraged and supported community efforts to preserve and enjoy the nation's cultural and natural heritage. The goals of the initiative included a greater shared knowledge about the nation's past, strengthened regional identities and local pride, increased local participation in preserving the country's cultural and natural heritage assets, and support for the economic vitality of our communities.

Ten years ago Scottsdale was recognized by then first lady Laura Bush for the city's demonstrated commitment to historic preservation and support for heritage tourism activities through a partnership with the Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau. To see more information click here.
