On June 29, Governor Ducey issued Executive Order 2020-43: Pausing of Arizona’s Reopening as part of the state’s “Further Action to Reverse COVID-19 Spread in Arizona."
In part, the order states as of 8pm, June 29, 2020:
- Bars (series 6 and series 7 license holders), indoor gyms, movie theaters, water parks, and tubing must close
- Targeted reopening date of 30 days (7/27/2020 at earliest)
- Enforcement by local public health officials and local authorities
- Penalties up to local jurisdictions
- No new special event licenses by Department of Liquor Licensing and Control
- Indoor and outdoor public events of more than 50 persons will be prohibited unless the city, town, or county has approved the event and only if physical distancing is implemented.
- Enforcement by local health officials and local authorities
- Penalties up to local jurisdiction
- These restrictions do not include constitutionally protected activities
- Public pools (municipal pools, hotels, etc.) shall prohibit groups larger than 10 from congregating together; private pools (multi-family housing, other privately owned facilities) may remain open with signage regarding physical distancing & no groups of larger than 10 persons
- In order to reopen establishments must attest to adhere to public health guidelines
