Congratulations to those who will be receiving League Service Awards at the League Annual Conference in Phoenix! Award recipients will be recognized during the Conference.
The League will honor members of the Arizona Legislature for their work during the 2021 legislative session. The legislators are recognized for their commitment to local government decision-making and providing support to cities and towns in their districts and statewide.
Save the date! The League’s 20th Annual Cities and Towns Week will be October 17-23, 2021. Arizona Cities and Towns Week is set aside each year to provide citizens with important information about the services and programs provided by their city/town, and to introduce the employees that deliver them.
The Census of Governments is underway! The Census of Governments (CoG) is the most comprehensive and precise measure of government economic activity. It identifies the scope and nature of the nation’s public sector and provides authoritative benchmark figures of public finance, pensions, and employment. It classifies the complex and diverse state and local government organizations, powers, activities, and measures state and local fiscal relationships. The CoG is comprised of three components—Organization, Employment and Finance.
The 2021 New Laws Report of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns is now available. The report is designed to serve as a guide to those enactments of the first regular session of the 55th Arizona Legislature that have demonstrable impacts on municipalities.
